Compassionate Care
You'll be treated with dignity, respect, and zero judgment. Our team understands the challenges of addiction and is here to support you every step of the way.
Methadone helps in three important ways:
- Prevents withdrawal for 24+ hours with a single daily dose
- Reduces cravings so you can focus on recovery
- Blocks the effects of other opioids without producing a "high"
When taken as prescribed, methadone allows you to work, care for your family, and participate in all your normal activities.
Your First Visit
You'll meet with one of our medical providers who will:
- Talk with you about your history and recovery goals
- Determine if methadone is right for you
- Create an individualized treatment plan
- Start your first dose if medically appropriate
Most people can start treatment the same day.
Daily Dosing
Initially, you'll visit the clinic daily to receive your dose. As you progress in treatment and demonstrate stability, you may qualify for take-home doses.
Denver Dosing Hours:
- Monday–Friday: 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Sunday: Closed (take-home doses for eligible patients)
Lakewood Dosing Hours:
- Monday–Friday: 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM (new patient/intake by appointment only)
- Sunday: Closed (take-home doses for eligible patients)
Counseling and Support
Methadone works best when paired with counseling. Our program includes individual and group counseling sessions, plus case management to help with housing, employment, and other needs.
Your Journey Forward
Some people use methadone for a short time and taper off. Others stay on it longer. Your treatment plan will be based on what works best for you.

Is methadone just replacing one addiction with another?
No. When properly prescribed, methadone is a medication that stabilizes your brain chemistry. It doesn't produce a "high." It allows you to function normally and participate fully in recovery.
Can I work or drive while on methadone?
Yes. Once you're stable on your dose, you can work, drive, and do all your normal activities. Methadone doesn't impair you when taken as prescribed.
How long will I need treatment?
It varies for each person. Some people benefit from shorter treatment periods, while others need longer-term maintenance. We'll work with you to determine what's right for your recovery.
What if I need to travel?
We can arrange guest dosing with other clinics if you need to travel. As you progress, you may also qualify for take-home doses.
What are the side effects?
Some people experience sweating, constipation, or temporary sleep changes. These usually improve over time, and our medical team will help you manage any side effects.
