Our team of therapists, counselors, and peer specialists is here to help you build strength, learn new coping skills, and reach your personal goals. You don't have to face recovery alone—we'll support you every step of the way.

What Behavioral Health Means

Understanding the different aspects of behavioral health helps you see how our services support your whole wellbeing.

Mental Health

Mental health is how you think, feel, and handle stress each day. It includes your emotions, decision-making, and how you react to challenges. Common mental health issues include depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our team uses proven treatments like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT)—which combines FDA-approved medications with counseling—to help people feel better and live well.

Substance Use and Addiction

Substance use disorders happen when alcohol, medications, or other substances start to harm your health or relationships. At Porch Light Health, we look at both the body and the mind when treating addiction. We use evidence-based methods like Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Contingency Management, and the Matrix Model, often alongside Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) to help reduce cravings and prevent relapse.

Learn more about how MAT can help with alcohol cravings and explore our approach to dual diagnosis treatment.

Emotional Well-Being

Emotional well-being means understanding and managing your feelings in healthy ways. It helps you build strong relationships and feel more balanced in life. Our therapists use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and mindfulness techniques to teach these skills.

Prevention and Early Support

We believe in helping people before problems get worse. During your Orientation to Care, a therapist will meet with you to understand your needs and connect you to the right kind of help—right from the start.

Behavioral Health at Porch Light Health

Since 2018, Porch Light Health has been licensed by the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) for high-quality, client-centered care. Today, we hold multiple BHA licenses across Colorado and provide behavioral health services at all our clinic locations statewide.

Our organization is proud to have a large team of highly trained therapists and behavioral health professionals who are experts in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, SFBT, MET, Anger Management, and the Matrix Model.

Every new client begins with an Orientation to Care, a short meeting to plan the right path forward. Whether in person or online, we make sure your care starts with clarity and connection.

Outpatient Services

Our mission is simple: make sure every Coloradan can get caring, evidence-based treatment for substance use and mental health challenges. We offer:

Our clinics and telehealth options are safe, welcoming spaces—easy to access whether you're at home or on the go. Our team works together to support your behavioral, physical, and emotional health in one connected system.

Orientation to Care and Assessment

At Porch Light Health, we're not just a treatment center but a community. Whether group therapy sessions or one-on-one counseling, our licensed professionals offer tailored programs that meet individual needs.

Your journey starts with an Orientation to Care—a short visit where we learn about your needs and goals. From there, we help you choose the right level of support, such as therapy, group programs, or Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT).

If you decide to continue, we'll complete a full biopsychosocial assessment to guide your treatment plan and set you up for success.

Short-Term and Ongoing Therapy

Not ready for a long-term program? We offer four short therapy sessions focused on your most important goals. These sessions use practical, research-based methods like CBT, MET, and SFBT.

If you'd like to keep going, ongoing therapy sessions provide steady support for recovery, emotional balance, and personal growth.

Porch Light Rewards: Contingency Management

Our Porch Light Rewards program helps people who use stimulants like cocaine or methamphetamine. Clients earn positive rewards for progress—like clean urine screens, active therapy attendance, or other milestones. This proven approach helps build motivation and lasting recovery.

Group Therapy and Virtual IOP

Group therapy lets clients connect, learn, and grow together. We offer groups like:

  • Relapse Prevention (Matrix Model)
  • DBT Skills
  • Anger Management
  • Women's Group
  • DUI and Court-Ordered Therapy
  • Other rotating specialty groups

We also offer a fully virtual three-week Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This structured program includes CBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, and Mindfulness to build relapse prevention and emotional control skills—all online, for easy statewide access.

Case Management and Peer Support

Our case managers help clients find housing, jobs, food, and transportation so recovery can continue outside of therapy.

Our Peer Support Specialists bring real-life experience and hope to the recovery process. We work with trusted partners like North Colorado Health Alliance (NCHA) and Hard Beauty, and we also employ peers in Colorado and New Mexico who walk beside clients through every step of recovery.

Court-Ordered Therapy

Porch Light Health is licensed by the Colorado BHA to provide court-ordered therapy for people in the legal or probation system.

We offer individual and group sessions for substance use, anger management, and relapse prevention—plus virtual DUI therapy that allows clients to earn hours remotely.

We also complete evaluations and affidavits for driver's license reinstatement and provide reports for courts and probation officers.

By combining structure, compassion, and proven care, we help clients meet their legal goals while gaining confidence and stability in recovery.
